English teacher brings higher education to male students

just out of interest... If I decided to become a teacher, then began having "consensual" sex with my 16, 17 year old (gay) male teenage students, would people be okay with that?

😉

No, people would probably not be okay with that. For two reasons: A) Homosexuality is still a touchy subject for a lot of people, especially devoutly religious people B) Aforementioned people and others would probably accuse you of corrupting said students. The argument I'm imagining is, "How do we know they were gay before, and that the teacher's abuse of his position of power didn't lead the students down the path of homosexuality and brainwash them into thinking that they were born this way?"

I think a key question at the heart of this is whether or not males and females should be treated differently where rape laws are concerned.

maybe it's my inner femenist, but I personally don't think they should.

they've probably been brain washed by the school or parents into believing what they did was somehow morally wrong or inappropriate. so sad.

you think it's morally ok for a person to use their position of authority to get another person to have sex with them?

I'd say it was inappropriate behavior on the part of the teacher, but certainly not inappropriate behaviour on the part of the students.

I'd also question to what extent the teacher was using her authority (as opposed to simply using her good looks and shapely body) to get the students to have sex with her. Would they have had sex with her if she had been a dried up 60 year old crone, I wonder?

I read the article linked to in this post, and can't remember reading anything that suggested she used her position of authority to force them into sex. IMO, there wasn't much forcing going on at all. Nine times out of ten if a hot (doesn't matter that shes 42, she doesn't look it) woman offers sex to a 16 or 17 year old guy, hes going to take it. I think the fact that she was a teacher gives the appearance of use of authority, but if you take out the fact that she was a teacher, I'm pretty certain the boys involved still would have done it. This is just speculation of course since I have no idea about how the boys involved feel about what happened.

of course in reality there is no path of homosexuality to be led down, and at 16 you are typically perfectly clear re: where your sexual preferences lie. I'd have loved to have been seduced by my (male) phys. ed teacher, comp. sci teacher, at 16, 17, etc. Whether that would have been emotionally or psychologically traumatic is another question I guess.

Actually, Geisel's lawyer was interviewed this morning on a local radio station. The 17 year olds in question never wanted this to be made public and aren't complaining at all. She was home free until the 16 year old's father approached the media and then the police.

Here's the kicker. The 16 year old was expelled from school. I don't know why. He threatened the school that he would go public with the story if they didn't let him back in. The school didn't cave so his father made the story public and it snowballed from there.

Additionally, her lawyer is claiming that there was alcohol involved. I think we are going to see that she has a drinking problem and that she was drunk at the time this went down. That will make the case sticky if the lawyer makes a case that the kids took advantage of a drunk woman.

You just gotta envy the education kids get today! Nothing on the cirriculem nearly this interesting when I was in school. We just had reading, writing, arithmatic! I could a got an "A" in this class! Maybe a schalorship to Harvard from the great grades or perhaps early recognition as a professional and a big bucks contract! You benefit from a good early education for your entire life!

A 12 year old? No, then HE'D be the pervert! The American public is totally wrapped around the axle when it comes to teenage sex.

By the way, it seems that most of these teachers having sex with their male students are pretty darned cute. A better photo of Ms. Geisel:

Where were these teachers when I was growing up? Why couldn't I have been a victim?

What a great loss to society. She will probably have to spend the next few years (her best ones) in a cell with some fat lisbo!

maybe she'll spend those few years in a cell with a svelte, sexy lesbian and realise what she's been missing.

yeup. there are inherent differences between men and women. but if it makes you feel better i'd feel better about a gay male teacher courting a 17 year old gay male (assuming that the 17 year old has already established his sexuality pretty much and is comfortable with it) than a straight male teacher courting a 17 year old female.

why i feel this way i'm not sure. i guess i just have an uneasy feeling about a guy with some power over a younger girl being controlling and damaging to her.

Women are the physically weaker sex. Over time in most cultures this has been perceived as encompassing emotional weakness too. The thought of a stronger male having his way with a young female is reprehensible, because we feel that the female must be being taken advantage of.

We also don't like the idea of a female flexing her sexuality with anybody but us (by which I mean me).

Youd be ok with your 12 year daughter screwing a 42 year old?

As usual, Z, you seem incapable of making fine distinctions. Does the term "Procrustean Bed" have any meaning for you?

Why are you incapable of understanding a simple point: Most 16-year old boys would have sex with anything that moved. Why is it, then, that if the sex is with a girl their own age, no big deal (except for the "sex is evil" crowd). But if the sex is with a 42 year old female, the boy is a "victim".

If the boy were coerced/manipulated into sex, that's one thing. But most post-pubescent boys don't need any encouragement. I have a difficult time seeing the "victimhood" in many of these cases. I'm not saying that there's no such thing as statutory rape. Of course there is. But every case is different, and should be judged on the specifics.

Of course, for you, every case is the same: Sex between person under 17 and person over 18 = evil.

I actually don't care much either way about statuatory rape shira. I just dont like the idea of the law initiating a double standard.

If a 16 year old boy can do this, a 16 year old girl can as well, and not be considered the "victim".

But you really dodged the question, didn't you? You seem quite "wrapped around the axle" (omg sex is da evil!!11!) when it comes to your own daughter.

I'm not really anti-sex, not as much as a lot of others are anyway. I'm anti-sex-without-living-up-to-consequences.

It's Stiffler's MOM!

Dude, the American Pie mom was borderline skank. Giesel was pretty kickin' for 42.

Contributing factors:
1) Male teenagers
2) Hot middle-aged woman with a substance abuse problem
3) Male teenagers offered a run at a hot teacher (naughty)
4) Horny middle-aged woman with no man
5) Multiple available and willing young men (technically boys but that makes it . . . naughty)
6) Parents . . . do you know where your kids are . . . who they are with . . . what they are doing?
7) According to the accounts I've read . . . she was kinda kinky . . . granted, that was probably the booze talking.

This woman deserves "sanction" but a long prison term (more than a few months) is not just. Then again, justice is often missing from our system.

If the boys had "raped" this woman, they would be considered adult offenders in most states. If they had killed this woman, they would be considered adult offenders in most states. By having consensual sex with this woman, they are sexually violated children?😕

I also wonder how much of this was her way to stick it to her ex? To be able to say to him 'you may not want me, but I can get loving from hundreds of guys half my age'.

She may require three forms of photo ID, a birth certificate, proof of insurance, and a signed/notarized letter of consent. She's a freak, though . . . bring a friend.
