This article, among others, http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/...nts-Barack-Obama-in-battle-to-protect-BP.html
It's pathetic and frankly embarrassing.
Basically, the story goes that BP is such an important company to England and its pensioners (who apparently have no idea in the world what diversifying means, as its dividends make up a revoltingly large percentage of their investment incomes) that it is trying its damnedest to minimize losses of BP stock.
And some of its complaints may be valid, but all I'm seeing coming out of England is not any sympathy or "Yep, we agree, BP kind of fvcked this one up, folks!" but more "Oh, please, I know that spill is murdering the gulf, but our pensioners needs its dividends. Please just oh please stop saying all those naughty things about BP!"
