2nd year uni, and ill be going to a year in industry for my 3rd year, before going back to finish my 4th and 5th years at uni

i applied to, Corus, Cummins, Visteon,Goodrich, ICI and im thinking of sending off to BP as well

anyway Corus are the only ones to get back in touch so far (probably coz i know people there and my CV bypassed alot of the screening)

they pretty much offered me the job which will be in RD&T (research, dev, tech) for their Long Product Rolling. lots of FEA (finite element analysis) and they would like it if i could re-write the front end for their monitoring/data aquistion software.

they offered £13000 + bonus + 2weeks payed vacation. and i get time in loo instead of overtime pay. (thats what $23,000) which is ace considering i can actually live at home for this job and pay no rent, bills, or food!

sounds pretty good, just waiting to hear back from some of the other companies, but if they dont get back im taking this.

heh im not really like that, i dont mind leaving people behind (so long as i know ill be coming back as some point)

it just doesnt phase me, alot of my mates at uni missed all their friends back home, and their parents n stuff and some got that "home sick" feeling

totally different for me, it was just like any other day, course i missed my parents n stuff, but it just doesnt bother me, i know ill be going back to see them at some point, so its alright
