im not exactly sure why guys feel like they should spend thousands on a stupid ring. if a girl expects a huge ring, she is probably a materialistic b!tch, and if you give it to her simply because of that you are so whipped it is unbelievable.
this tradition started in the US in the 1920s and almost no where else does it take place. princess diana got a big sapphire for example.
im not opposed to buying my girlfriend something nice, but this now-normal tradition of buying girls massive engagement rings is a huge waste of money IMO. that money could be spent better on other things.
and while im ranting, weddings are stupidly expensive also. Warcrow and his woman had the right idea. they saved a sh!tload of money by going to that beach...and i support that. people that do the whole thing in a really expensive church and buy 100 different kinds of flowers and basically make the whole thing look all pretentious need to think about how much money they wasted on a single day in their life.
10,000-20,000 for a single day, or you could put a downpayment on a house or buy a car :shocked:
it makes no sense really, but i guess we are dealing with women so logic will be mostly absent.
