And another thing to think about: you know those man-made diamonds? most people would want the much more expensive natural ones, but for that diamond chip one, I would get a definite kick out of having a man-made one in it, even though they are usually used for industrial applications because the quality is lower. Actually, manmade diamonds are typically higher quality than natural ones. DeBeers has people convinced that it's not OK to get anything but a big mined diamond.

That depends a lot on the method of manufacture...
