Enernax 431 + Epox8K7A + 5v @ 4.31v = Instability?

Ok, Ive been running my rig in my sig at 1600mhz since I built it last year.

I never paid much attention to all the enermax 5v threads much since I never had any troubles.

Well, the past 2 months my pc has become EXTREMELY unstable while OC'ed.

One time I can OC it & run all day & reboot all I want without error.

The next day I can turn my pc on & it wont boot to windows at all.

It never seems 'consistant".

Needless to say, Im now back at the default 1.4ghz with all voltage jumpers for ram & cpu back at the defualts.

So I was doing a forum search & learned about this 5v problem, so I went into my bios to look at what mines at.

Its at 4.31 & can fluctuate down to 4.28 & the highest ive seen is 4.33!

Heres what listed in my bios under pc health.
Vcore - 1.89
VGAP - 1.56
3.3v - 3.39
5v - 4.31
12v - 12.24

So Im assuming the 5v setting is what everyone is talking about.
Ive read people being shocked at seeing 4.7v listed here, well, im not even close to that!

Am i looking at the correct voltages?

Short of opening the PSU & possibly endagering my life (as ive read), what can I do to resolve this?

yup, that is real low. Call up Enermax and b!tch. Maybe they can give you a newer replacement. I don't believe that one has POTS ports in it, so your only other option is to just buy another brand powersupply

Nack, I read that thread, and I didnt feel comfortable with that mod.

Anywhoo, I swapped out the power supply with a generic 300watt that I have in my old PIII rig.

Sure enough, my voltages are better.

Vcore - 1.89
VGAP - 1.54
3.3v - 3.38
5v - 4.78 (is that still a little low?)
12v - 12.18

Of course this is only temporary as I dont feel that 300w is enough, but I can at least run at 1575mhz with this
PSU & not have random reboots.

So hopefully when I get a new 400w+ PSU I'll be back at 1607mhz without any more problems.

I dont care how "good" theyre supposed to be, thats my LAST enermax.
Between the 5v problem & a STUPID fan that doesnt run full speed until your pc gets too hot, which it never
would in the 1st place if that darn fan would just run at full speed to begin with!(who the heck thought that one up?)

Thanks for the help, hopefully a 431w enermax can handle my PIII 1000mhz 440bx system until I get a new PSU.
