I actually have this case and it is wicked cool! No, I didn't pay for it though. I did some work with Enermax a while back and they sent us a demo. It even had a 600 Watt variable fan speed Power Supply in it! Mine doesn't have the window but it is painted in Black automotive paint. They even told me I can wax it if I want to!

So yes the case rocks, but no, I would NEVER spend 400 bones on it.

it comes with a fan speed rpm control dial (i think two of them) and a digital temp guage thing at the front of the case

I dunno, the case doesn't jump out to me as absolutely atrocious. In fact, assuming it is well thought out, I could see buying it for my next system... Then again there is always the pricetag which is 200 bucks into crazyville... I would totally consider it if not for that...
btw: I like your sig. Finality...lol...

Thanks for the tip regarding DesignComp. I've been wondering where Alienware gets the Chenming cases anodized 😀

Believe me, it looks sweet in person, especially if it's painted in the automotive paint with red or black (like mine). It is totally top notch as far as quality goes. It has removable casters, a slide out mobo tray, a clear acrylic panel on the front and it even came with a little plastic tool box with all the screws, etc...

Again, I paid NOTHING for mine so please no flames for me on the price of this beast, but it definitely deserves more respect that most people here are showing it 🙂

It's the best case I've ever owned (and not paid for 😀).

for 415 delivered, I'll pass. You can get great server cases for less.

Very interesting look. It is the case equivalent of those multi-colored cars.

Paint an aluminum case? hmmmm except for weight, why not get steel?

when I first saw that case I thought. Hey! where is the front cover for it?
oh well I guess it is okay but like all above I wouldn't pay that much for it unless I won the lottery or something

me too. my first impression when I saw the case: nice Sanitation/MACK truck

I guess I'm spoiled by seeing tons of cool cases from my stay in Japan. I've seen aluminum cases similar to this (without the window & front ports) a couple years ago selling for aroung $300 over there. mpjohnst is right, they are pretty damn sweet in person. I personally like the ones where the 5.25" drives are at the bottom of the case a little better. But now (like then) they are way out of my budget.
