Enermax Thermal Control 8cm fan - noisy ?

The only complaint I've heard is the irritation of these "spooling up" when going from low to high temps. I don't know from experience though. Why not get a manually adjustable fan and just set the RPMs yourself?

I definitely would get the manual adjustable ones from enermax but I cant find a reseller that ships to Canada.

And i can probably just stick the thermal control sensor to a computer component with a constant temperature to keep the fan at a constant speed.

That fan is pretty quiet at first. I've had one working perfectly fine for over 2 months and then it started making rattling noises. I advise you to get a different fan.

I have 6 of these in my box, compared to any and all other ones i've used, sunon, alpha, ect they are by far the quietest and they push a lot of air, enermax was smart and also packages these with 3-4 pin converters which eliminates the need to go out and find some. Also, tthe thermal probes do work and you can position them where ever in your case with no problem, for instance i place some of mine on the hotter parts of my case, i.e. ram and processor, but they do spool fairly rapidly, 10 sec or so from low to high speed. These are excellent fans, I highly reccomend.
