Has anyone ever RMA'ed an Enermax PSU to Maxpoint?
What exactly happened when you did RMA it?
Is it me or does their RMA form make no sense whatsoever?

Yeah, no sense seems to fit. Even though I found an RMA form somewhere on there site, when I contacted enermax they told me:

"Some components of the PSU are faulty. Please have the PSU RMA
to the store you bought it from. Regarding to the RMA problem, due
to our company policy, we deem our sales channel as the service
channel for each of our customers. For your utmost convenience and
promptest service, we suggest end users contact the dealer first for
the NG product. If you have further questions or need more service
please feel free to contact our branch office or agent in your area.
The info of our branch offices or agent can be acquired in Enermax
Globe Locations."

You have to RMA it through your dealer. I contacted Maxpoint a while back and they told me that the only RMA's they do is from resellers, not endusers. And yes, that RMA form is laughable.

My vendor won't RMA it for me. I had gone through this before a few months ago but never got around to actually RMAing the unit.
Someone @ maxpoint was willing to take it, but never gave details as to what I had to do/send.

oh my god.. i hate RMA'ing stuff through the company themselves.. i always take it back to the retailer... sucks they won't do anything for you..
what's the problem?
i had a voltage regulator blow in a PSU once.. i bought a new piece and soldered it into the PSU.. better than having to buy a new one, or spending alot for shipping to send it back for example..

just a thought.. my .02

Well...'typical' 5V rail problems that started with the Abit KT7A-RAID I had at the time, then REALLY came out when I switched to the Epox 8K3A+ I have now. 5V readings that never went above 4.8V, instability, Hard drives powering on and off at random. All of these issues went away with an Antec 350W PSU (mind you the Enermax is a 435W PSU). Just for further testing, I popped the Enermax in my fileserver and mysteriously drives started becoming corrupt, disappearing or just powering on and off. Remove the 435W Enermax and replace it with a no-name/generic 300W PSU and everything worked again.

The vendor says they won't RMA it because they don't deal wth Enermax, but rather a distributor and the distributor won't reimburse them...or something like that.

Just got an e-mail from Enermax and they said to deal with the vendor OR if that isn't possible, then to get in contact with Maxpoint and deal with them. Waiting for an e-mail from them.
