Enermax PSU (FC) Series discontinued?

Check out the brief mention on XPCGear.
I also noticed that DealsDirect no longer carries the EG-365P-VE (FC). I'm guessing that as soon as they sell out of the 465 (FC), you won't see any more of them either...

from XPCGear "Enermax Power Supplies are best know for stability and overclockability"

since when can you overclock a powersupply? I'll just crank up the multiplier.... ooo... ooo! it posted at 600 watts! w00t w00t 😀

[sorry for being off topic, maybe enermax is phasing them out for a good reason?]

Newegg.com still carries them. they just got in a new shipment too because they were out of stock last week.

I think they meant... you have a better chance at overclocking successfully and keeping it stable with an Enermax powersupply. Enermax is probably phasing them out because why would you need that when you have an adjustable one anyway. Besides, they probably got enough complaints about that fan not spinning fast enough unless there was a fire inside.

Yeah, I noticed that newegg still has them--probably because their price on this item is much higher than DealsDirect. About a week or two ago, when the EG365P-VE(FC) was still available at DealsDirect, I think the price was $44 + $10s/h. That same PSU at newegg is $57 + $6, or $9 more. DealsDirect has the absolute best prices on Enermax PSUs that I've seen. Anyway, it'll be interesting to see how much longer other places carry them.

I agree that the FCA series seems to be better in general, anyway. At DealsDirect, you can get the EG365P-VE(FCA) for about the same amount as the (FC) version will cost you at newegg.
