Hey guys I just found this at Mwave -

I haven't seen this PSU for less than $100 bucks anywhere.

For what it's worth it uses dual 12V rails for a total of a whopping 31A. I went from the old Sonata's power supply which had 18A and could barely run my A64/X800Pro/2opticals/3pcis/2Seagates (the system would complete shut down often). It's dead silent so far and is pretty solid at 11.82 V at full load vs 11.5X of my Sonata psu. Hope this helps alleviate someone's problems.

Well apparently Enermax is hit or miss although at SilentPC they seem to love theres. Here's a Fortron 500W PSU from MWAVE as well. Hope this one is helpful 🙂.

yeah... I'm one who would give it a thumbs down. Enermax is bundled in some cases and I've had them die on me. Go with a superflower (ttgi). Relatively inexpensive and very reliable. And for all those case-modders out there, the superflowers just look damn cool most times.

I've been using an Enermax power supply for three years now, essentially 24/7, and it has run flawlessly. Best power supply I've ever owned.

I have had 3 enermax supplies since i started building in 1998. All work great....quiet too. Most I had at one point on my 350VE, was 2 Opticals, 4 Western Digitals HDs, TV TUner, Raid Card, LAN Card, 9800np, and P4 3.0ghz with 1Gb of Ram..no problems

they are hit and miss. I had one die after 3 years the other one I bought at the same time is still running strong.

I've used Enermax in about ten builds and have never had a problem. Always work flawless. I've had three antecs fail on me along with a fortron that actually started smoking and took the motherboard with it. I only buy enermax from now on. As a matter of fact I have the eg475ax in my system right now.

Wow, and the OP couldn't get his A64/X800Pro/2opticals/3pcis/2Seagates to run off an Antec TruePower 380W? Hm... I tried to install a 2nd hard drive on an Athlon 2200+, 512 MB, GeForceMX 440, 2 optical drive system and had problems getting the computer to even boot off an Antec SmartPower 300W. Antec used to have my full confidence, but now I get the feeling that their PSUs can't handle as much equipment as they should.

I've learned soo much more about psu's in the week or so since I'vehad issues. Check out www.silentpc.com.
The #'s you want to pay attention to are the amounts of A's on the 12V+ rail. The Antec Sonata's 380Tru has 18A which is BARELY enough to run my system under load.
