Enermax EG851AX-VH Problems...

So I just got my power supply in today.. got 'em replaced, and cleaned the dust outta my computer.
Well, I got the p/s swapped just fine, but I can't get the system to completely boot.
When I turn it on, my monitor will come out of stand-by for maybe 2 seconds, then go back into stand-by.
I get no beeps what-so-ever from the pc speaker.
Any clues, ideas, or suggestions...?
I'm at a loss..

Thanks!

Talk about over-kill.

Did you cycle the ON/OFF switch about 4-5 times (with atleast a 5 sec wait between each attempt)?
If not, unplug the power from the PSU for a few minutes. Then try.

If, provided you have everythings connected correctly, that fails, its RMA time.
(you can also try disconnecting everything but the motherboard power then power on)

note: remember to UNPLUG the power before removing

Overkill? No, not really. My 500watt wasn't supplying enough juice to power all my drives, and even a single case fan. I could not have any case fans plugged in, and burn a cd without getting a buffer underrun error.
Anyway, I figured the problem out. Due to the style of PS it is, there was a seperate plug for 12v which supplies the juice to the mobo/cpu.

But now I have a new problem.. everything's been running good for a while, up until like 2 days ago. My monitor went into sleep mode, and when I woke it up, the screen was all screwed up. Colors were messed up, and a lot of horizontal and vertical lines going through the screen, refreshing at a slow rate, and VERY noticeable.
So I tried rebooting, and that did no good. Re-seated the video card, no good. Reinstalled video card drives, Windows wouldn't even load up. Oh yeah, and I also found out while trying this, that the video card fan crapped out, along with the chipset fan. Those were replaced today, and did no good.
Also, my CMOS battery isn't working, or something. The battery is still good, as I just checked it and it's at like 3.1 volts or so. But, everytime I remove the plug from the power supply, plug it back in, and boot up, the BIOS automatically opens up, as if something has changed.
The Clear CMOS jumper is NOT jumped, so that is not the cause.
I tried re-updating the BIOS on the mobo, hoping maybe something just got screwed up there, to no avail. Same problems..
I'm really at a loss now, as I have no clue what happend or what to do.
Isn't it, if a chip over heats, it will either work fine or not at all? I thought they had no in-between?

oh yeah, and for what it's worth:
the motherboard fan headers no longer work, although they are supplying voltage. ~3.5v or so, but won't power up a fan.
And the fan header on my video card doesn't work, either..

I saw Enermax in your title.... I just installed an new Enermax Noisetaker (420 Watt) some of our problems seem similar, others not.

Here's what was happening to me: 1st day installed all is great. Moved pc from offic to home in unheated "Florida Room". Took it back to office next, go to boot up, starts fine for about one second (never got to post) , then power throttles way back. All fans are spinning real slow. After repeated attemps, finally boots. I get a "CPU Failure" warning at post and cpu is noted on boot up screen as a 1,100 mghZ (it's actually a Barton 2500+). Fix BIOS everythings OK.

Take it home and put in unheated room (I live in Smoky Mountains in North Carolina, pretty cold now). back to 1st problem with no boot & "reduced power" try about 20 times, no go.

Problem? My PSU doesn't like cold. I put a heater on the psu and after a couple of minutes she boots up fine! The temps can't be much below freezing. I'll guess I'll have to RMA it.

Anyway, the ultra low current may be fritzing your components. How's the temp where your pc is ?

ambient room temp is around 70*
I got the p/s problems figured out.. for the most part.. I believe anyway.
Now I think my motherboard somehow got toasted
