SVC is selling the 431W version of what I believe is part of the older "Whisperquiet" series, for $49.99. I think it has a single +12V rail, either 20A or 33A depending on where you read. Still, I think it's a pretty good deal for $49.99.

Anyway, here's the link

Meh, I just bought a new PSU by Powmax. It's their "Demon" 480w psu. 120mm and 80mm fans. Bright blue led. Looks nice, and does a heck of a job. Only costs $30 at pc club. :)

I have had an enermax and a powmax power supply. The enermax eg365p-ve fca has been rock solid even while overclocking every component in a watercooled system! And that is only the 350w version! The powmax overheated while I was burning DVD's in an old amd XP1700+ system with no overclocking, and the powmax fried and toasted my motherboard. To The point: This is an amazing deal for an amazing power supply.
DON'T SKIMP ON YOUR POWER SUPPLY!!!

I just had a Enermax poop out on me. Back to the trusty reliable super cheap generics. I've had them running for years without fail.

Oh yeah. Even though these things are advertised as being quiet, they really aren't that quiet. Get a Antec TruPower if you want quiet. Those things are amazing.

Even if this is the 20A 431W model, these things are still solid. I have one of those in my old P4 2.8C rig, and now I'm using a Noisetaker 470W. Both have been working solidly without problems. The $49.99 price tag is just incredible considering other retailers are selling them for over $70. Besides, SVC is a very reputable vendor.

9. Power Supply is 100% wrapped with nylon Nitro Blue Techflex sleeving and premium heatshrink.

what does this mean? all the wires are sleeved? i emailed SVC about this about a month ago and they pretty much ignored me

If they're the same as the ones I got, then nope, only the main power supply cable is wrapped in techflex, and it's black, not blue. This might be a different version though.
