My old Logitech UltraX is on it's last legs (couple of the scissor mechanisms have broken due to cleaning, it's all scratched up, etc) and ever since a year or two ago I've had my eye on Enermaxs offerings. They're really cheap right now:

REBATE

On the list

Aurora Black Premium - $25 AMIR
Silver Aurora Premium - $25 shipped AMIR
Aurora Micro - $15 shipped AMIR
Caesar - $27 shipped AMIR

I dunno which one I wanna get 😛

Not the micro because I kinda like my numpad, and I don't frequent LAN parties.

I love my UltraX. I wish the Enermax didn't have the L-shaped Enter key though 🙁 I just hate the L-shaped Enter Key.

Yeah... I just saw that before I pulled the trigger. The original Aurora circa 2006/2007 (model # KB002U - when I originally toyed with the idea of replacing my UltraX) had the NORMAL layout. This newer layout is keeping me from buying... dang.

That's just European keyboard layout. They all have L shaped enter key. US keyboard has straight enter key like you're all used to. I'd guess pictures are "for illustrative purposes only" and you'll receive keyboard with US layout if you order from buy.com, however try at your own risk.

BTW I used to have aluminum keyboard, it was too cold on my wrists. This one may be better, but buyers beware.

People from newegg seem to receive the L-shaped enter key.. I don't see why buy.com would ship a different model. I'm gonna email Enermax to find out...

Like I said, buyers beware.

If you check out keyboard reviews, these keyboards come in three configurations. With L shaped, enter key, reverse L shaped enter key and straight enter key. Typically all keyboards sold in US should have straight enter key, but I suppose it depends on supplier.

Straight key
L shape
Reverse L shape

I'm not trying to nitpick, but the straight key is the regular Enermax Aurora, not the Aurora Premium. AFAIK the Premiums are either a L flipped over the y axis, or an L flipped over the x and y axis.

Yes. The regular came out in 2005 is and was offered until late 2006/early 2007.

Are you trying to be annoying, or helpful? Believe me, I've delved into this topic already. Search for KB002U (regular) and KB008U (Premium). The Premium keyboards are currently based on L-shaped keyboards.
