I'm thinking about buing one of these PSUs:

ENERMAX 431W EG451P: 3.3V/35A +12V/15A +5V/44A
ENERMAX 550W EG651P: 3.3V/40A +12V/20A +5V/46A (~60% more expensive)

and this is what I'm planing to run on it, overclocked off course:

KT7A-RAID
TB 1.1GHz @ XX
256(512)MB PC133 CL2 @ xx
GF2 Pro/Ultra 64MB @ xx/xx
2 x IBM 75GXP 46GB
SB Live! 5.1
52X CD-ROM --> ?X DVD
CDRW
NIC
TM gamecard (ISA)
2 to 4 80/92/120mm (3.2/3.68/4.8in) fans w. some voltage regulator
156W TEC/peltier

Later I will add some more stuff like additional HDs, perhaps a SCSI system. I'd like to run the peltier on the same PSU as the rest of the system if possible, because I'm planing to build the entire watercooling system into the case, and need the space a 2nd PSU would occupy.

My questions are:

1) Does anyone run a ~comparable system~ on anyone of these two enermax PSUs, or a similar PSU?

2) Will the 431W or the 550W PSU handle the whole system including future additions, or will I have to get a 2nd PSU sooner or later regardless of wich one I buy?
(I figure, there's no reason to buy the much more expensive 550W PSU if I still have to add another PSU later. I'd rather buy two smaller PSUs cheaper, and *sigh* move the radiator outside the case :(. But if the 431/550 can handle it all, I'll buy the smallest of these two that does.)

3) Is there a way to claculate a systems power requirements?

4) Do you know of any >12V/14?A (~17V?/14?A) PSU that isn't too big (physically) or too expensive, that I could power my 156(172?)W peltier with?
(It doesn't have to be a computer PSU and doesn't have to supply 3.3V and 5V, "just" 15~20V.)

5) Alternatively, and even better(?), do you have, know of or know where I might find, any info about how you could build such a PSU, or modify an exsisting PSU to those specs?!?

ANY help is extremely welcome! Many thanx in advance!!!

WIth that massive peltier, I'd HIGHLY recommend the 550w Enermax.
It probably sucks off at least 12amps off the +12v line by itself.
Note the max is only 15a for the 431w model.

Get the 431w I have one and there great and get a cheap 250w for the peltier that would be your best bet.

well, look at my rigs. I'm running it off of a 300W PS. 431 is plenty if you use 2 powersupplies. If you only want one, go for the 550W.
