Wow! His math and science GPA is like a C- average

Take a look at the last two Secretaries of Energy. Then look at Perry. Look back at the last two, look again at Perry.
Wow. Even GOP selections are extremely well educated.

Perry looks like a downright simpleton compared to prior to hold the position. He is the least educated by far.

This is how you know the trump administration will be a shit show. On some level, it takes talent and skill to recognize talent and skill. Its like that friend who keeps making really bad choices with women and wonders why his relationships are always disaster. its partly because he is a disaster.

Per wikipedia:

Steven Chu (2009-2013): BA in Mathematics from University of Rochester; Ph.D. in Physics from Berkeley; Nobel Prize in Physics
Ernest Moniz (2013-Present): Ph.D. in Theoretical Physics from Stanford; head of the physics department at MIT
Rick Perry: Wore glasses to make himself look smarter.

DRAIN. THE. SWAMP.

Good to see your integrity is in the right place.

It's worse than that, sadly. DoE works with labs and universities all over the country and funds a lot more than just physics research.

This is by far the most acceptable appointment I've seen trump make besides Preibus. Yes, Perry is a disaster... but he's our disaster. At least he's not nominating Sergei Shmatko, last head of Ministry of Energy.

Said the guy whose school records were better then Joe Biden's. In fact between Biden's records and Perry's there's not much difference.

Now with more diversion & a 180 of moral posturing. You just doubled down on hypocrisy.

Rick Perry is an empty suit & a brand name in Texas, a name he'll slap on any product line that will pay him for the privilege of using it, kinda like Trump.

Tell us, did we ever get to see Obama's college transcripts after over 8 years? Just and answer and a link please.

Deeper into diversion, huh? Ol' Rick is whoring himself out to the Donald because that's all he's good for. What he knows about energy policy is that Texas Oil Money has been very, very good to him. He'll sound like Kellyanne before it's over.

Your hypocrisy and shameless dishonnesty are breathtaking. I assume you're angling for a role in his swamp? Does he hire fluffers?

Sorry, that was a dumb question. Clearly he does. Perhaps you can suggest which position you're least qualified for. That would help Donnie find the right spot for you.

Taj is part of the alt-right troll army. They've weaponized insincerity & they'll use it to tear down anything they can.

lmao. This is the worst one yet. Hard to even the thought process went into this. "Texas has oil, that Rick Perry guy is from Texas, Secretary of Energy!" And I don't see him winning outsider points either, I have family that loves Trump and most of his appointments, but they hate Rick Perry. I wonder how they'll react to this one, lol.

Rick Perry replacing a nuclear physicist as Secretary of Energy makes about as much sense as an internet troll replacing a constitutional law professor as President of the United States.

If Putin was hiring someone to run the US nuclear weapons program, Perry would be his pick.

You don't want a nuclear physicist to run an out of control department, you want someone that will take names and kick some ass.

The people in power at the Department of Energy seem to think that their taxpayer funded employees don't have to answer routine questions to an incoming administration about what they did, where they went and how much it cost the taxpayers to pay for it.

actually no, you want a scientist in charge. you dont want some pencil pushing bureaucrat running that show in charge of nuclear waste.

good for those employees that won't respond to the inquiry. this is the department of energy, it should be based on science, not hocus pocus that you and your ilk believe in.

They're employees and a new boss is coming to town. They don't get to tell the legal oversight authority to leave them alone.
