Energizer's "Quick Switch" flashlight

Too bad I can't find this product anymore, but I found this in a small electronic store in a mall. It was a small pack of plastic place holders where you install AA batteries for use as a C or D cell.

They differ in their inner resistance too. So basically how much juice they can pump out. The bigger it is, the more it can pump out.

no AAA?
booo

and while they are at it, why not add a crank to it, or just get one of those magnetic flashlights that u shake to produce power, making batteries obsolete.

i have the magnetic one

the beam isnt super powerful , but its good for general use, and i like it in case i need one and have no batteries or wahtever for the others. sturdy though, waterproof, and something something

good idea, but their timing sucks. they would've sold tons (in florida, at least) had they introduced the damn thing back in july. now competitors have an entire year to develop their own products.

=|

lithium-ion batteries and a good flashlight, the maglite is so ridiculously overpriced but there are other flashlights out there with the same quality at 1/5th of the price.

They are all 1.5V... and the bulb wattage shouldn't matter. The only difference is the size of the battery. Why wasn't this done like 10 years ago? 🙂

aaa, aa, and c are all 1.5v... d are 3v though iirc, and obviously 9v are 9v

That is the most stupid thing i have heard today "the only difference is the size".

No, the difference is the ability to sustain the wattage for a period of time, the bigger the battery, the longer it can sustain the charge.

The bulb wattage doesn't matter? Of course it does.

First, That's awesome!

Second, didn't any of you morons have an electronics lab in 4th grade?

AAA, AA, C, and D batteries are all 1.5v(1.25v if they are NiMH).

Obviously, the larger batteries hold more charge(amp-hours). Two fully charged D batteries should last longer than two fully charged AA batteries, given the same current draw.
