Enemy Territory: Quake Wars & Orange Box (PC) on Sale!

Oaky folks, Enemy Territory: Quake Wars has been released. I would like to pick up a copy today (PC). However, being an Hot Deals contributor, I just cannot find it in myself to pay full retail. Well, here is price research I have done so far for B&M:

Fry's Electronics: $49.99
EBGames/GameStop: $49.99
Best Buy: $49.99

Not going to bother with online deals at this time, becuase they are not any. GoGamer is $47.90+$2.59=$50.49 and could take a week to get to you. So what can we find to make the deal better? Reply with coupons & codes (now allowed!) or any other place you can get it cheaper this week!

GO GO GO!

UPDATE 1: SlickDeals is reporting that Circuit City will be offering ET QuakeWars for $37.99 on 10/7 (on a side note, Orange Box will also be on sale for the same).

So I think I will get it at Best Buy, then price match down the road plus the 10% difference. Effective cost should be $36.79, SWEET!
😀
UPDATE 2: So it is now confirmed that Circuit City has both ET: QUAKE WARS and ORANGE BOX on sale for $37.99 each (they claim orange box release date on Tuesday, 10/9). Good deals all around!

Is this online multiplayer? What I don't understand is why ID never tried to make a bona-fide Quake 3 Arena-2.

Quake 3-2 is called Quake 4.

Yes, online multiplayer team based with character classes. You ever play Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory? This is similar style, put into the Quake world and with a pinch of the Battlefield series tossed in (vehicles, outdoors).

If you are going to upgrade your video card and you like EVGA, 8600s and up at the specified dealers will get you a free QWET link

No telling when they will ship it to you though.

Sweet deal on the Orange Box if that's true. I preordered it through steam for $45, mainly so I could play TF2 early, but I kind of regret not holding out a bit longer now.

I believe so. I have been playing the demo and it is a fun time.
I am a bit of a fanboy for all things Quake, so I may not be the best source.

I'm gonna wait on this one I think.

1. Might as well see if UT3 is any better, will probably only be playing 1
2. I need a new video card!

I was thinking the same thing. UT3, plus Crysis (If they ever decide to release it), so much to chose from. Ill wait and see on this one.

I played the demo and IMHO it was junk. My friend played it and thought the same thing.

It's just a sluggish and cheap rip off of the Battlefield series. The only good part is that it seemed to have fewer bugs than Battlefield.

hmm could work out nice with the 10% off BB coupons. Plus I have a BB gift card burning a hole in my pocket 🙂 Still not fully sold on the game though. Its fun and all but the team work aspect is lacking that of the BF series. Plus no in game VOIP.

Yes. There is a slight learning curve to this game. But once you get the general idea of to who does what, and hoe to play. The game is great!

Does the demo support Bot play (since I assume QW doesn't have a "real" single player
component)?
