looks like this game will surpass bf2142. i stopped playing that game when they released another patch (1.25 i think). i say if your gonna release a patch, don't make it 250mb big. so far the only game that has got that right is HL2/CS:S. their small and don't have to wait an hour for it to finish.

enough of my little rant. i hope amd/ati can get a driver out soon help with performance when AA is turned on.

If it reminds me of any game in terms of how it runs, it's NWN2.

Mediocre graphics with overly strong, poorly done lighting and bad performance.

The ONLY thing that looks good at non-max settings is the skybox.

Fun gameplay, ripped from RTCW:ET.

But it looks like crap at anything but ultra settings, at which point it becomes unplayable.

that depends on your resolution and hardware. For me 1280x1024 4x/16x (AA/AF) is stuck on the 30fps lock.

Nobody should be using a unsupported old OS like win2000 as your just asking to be hacked on the internet these days. If you want cheap or just don't want to contribute to Bill Gates' jet collection then use a Linux disto, which BTW will be supported by Quake Wars.

Well, if anyone cares, Quake Wars runs barely playable on an AMD Athlon 64 x2 3800+ on ATI XPRESS 200 integrated graphics with 1gb ram. Hovers at 30fps in game with everything set to low at 640x480 resolution, but if you enter sniper scope framerate drops by half -__-.

That is NOt even true!! Fear mongering maybe!!
With proper care and knowing what your doing when surfing on the internet you should have no worries provided you aren`t one of these people to click on everything including warnings!!
Now your a fool if you have no firewall and othr such precautions.
It helps to be internet security savy!!!

Don`t use that as an excuse to purchase an uneeded upgrade--- fear is no excuse!!

We're on Windows Vista right now...

2000 came out over 7 years ago, no one but you are to blame, as harsh as it sounds.

Reminds me more of Battlefield 2 than Half-Life 2.

True that.

If it plays better than BF2 and doesn't have the annoying bugs BF2 has, I'm in.

Actually its not like BF2 :!

Well its UT2004 + Quake 3 gun play + RTCW ET type setting.

I have played over 60hrs of ET Quake War and i didn't like it as it tank and air combat is very unsatisfying. Its doing alot of things good but its not the BF killer i was expecting it to be.

People that wanted fast quick combat of Quake 3 will love this game :!

Its more suited for the UT2004 core fans than BF fan.

it has nothing to do with BF.

i've been playing it since beta1 in june and have played wolfenstein: ET for 4 years.

it's the successor to W:ET with drivable vehicles.

enjoy.
