Well I got an extra key for it.... next person to respond to this thread asking for it gets it.
Heck, I'll take it for a friend if it's still available.

I am really REALLY liking the beta... good stuff man and runs great on my system. :thumbsup:

Well, It's pretty fun I just played over an hour. The animations are a lil rough and hit boxes seem small , I kept losing sight of my xhairs . The vehicles are pretty good . I did ok , can I hack the controls as a soldier or only give cover for the hacker?

hacker = covert ops
demo = soldier

Finally got a chance to play it today, and I dunno whether I just need to give it more time, but I'm just not feeling it. Maybe I'm just used to the more tactical gameplay of BF2 and 2142 where walking out in the open is instant death. This is much more quake/unrealish where everyone is out in the open strafing around each other and what not. Theres nothing at all that strikes me as original about it. The weapons seemed super weak, the vehicles next to useless, and the overall gameplay just too chaotic and confusing.

I really like the idea of actual objectives to complete rather than just capturing flags, but I dont really feel like the classes exist for any other purpose than to slow the game down. Most everyone is just running around with the assault rifle anyways. The singular thing that one class can do to complete an objective (blow up/hack) that the others cant seems to be the primary difference.

Wheras in 2142 you have 4 very distinct classes with 4 very distinct roles, different weapons, yet all were balanced enough that they always had a use and weren't just sitting around as a gimp because they were useless except in a specific situation. You wanted them around for what they can do for you and your squad, not because they were needed to complete an objective.

If you've ever played Enemy Territory, this is nearly a spitting image of that gameplay. Fast, arcade style FPS with objectives, classes that all fight well but have different supporting roles, etc.

Exactly. It's less tactical and a little closer to an old school deathmatch game. I love it, even more than 2142. I loved Wolf:ET and still play it, so this is a great addition to the arsenal of games.

I LOVE the jump packs 😀

bah... missed out

Hopefully I hear good things when yall are allowed to talk about it 😉

i don't think anyone really gives a crap about NDAs...there's plenty of "reviews" about it already in this thread and in others.

I give the game :thumbsdown: :thumbsdown:
Just another BF2 wannabe.

With the right people on the server, the game can be quite fun; if people are actually trying to work together and such. I really like playing the medic on the marines side. :thumbsup:

While I actually think the Strogg team is stronger overall, I prefer playing the marines for some reason. 😕

I have not played in a couple of days because I was upgrading my OS, so I will need to re-download the client and get on there.

See some of you in-game!

Cheers,
KT
