Watched a let's play of this and looked very interesting. Plan on picking it up if I can get some playtime this weekend, despite $30 being more than I usually spend on games. In my serious turn based 4x games I don't really mind that the combat is more or less automated.

I actually got this over the weekend, full price even which I never do! A great game for the $30 price.

Unfortunately I've never played any MOO game so don't know how it compares, but I really like gal civ 2 (and civ 4 of course) and was very comfortable playing Endless space. I've only had a couple battles so far so not quite sure how they work, but they look cool at least..
I definitely think this game isn't getting the buzz it deserves. Although it was pretty high in the steam sales charts last I looked.

Anyone else here playing it?

I picked it up. So far I like it, I'm still learning it. I haven't played it as much as I wanted due to work, but it's good so far. Not enough of these games get made so I decided to show my support with my $$.

It seems the developer of this game are hardcore Android fans considering how the UI and the interface look like Ice Cream Sandwich.

Definately a 4x fan. Remeber Pax Imperia II?...🙂 Best Game (Aside from my mandatory Star Control 2 comment).

Also deadlock..anyways..I'm digressing. I'll pay 20 bucks for this when it goes on sale🙂

I've been playing for the last few days. Still trying to figure out a good strategy, not having much luck with winning.

I seemed to be able to jump pretty far ahead of the computers usually when I played (never played too far in though). I haven't in a very long time though; guess I should.

I'm trying to play a peaceful slow game. Then the Pirates showed up. Damn them. Well still trying to figure it all out, but the planets when you zoom in are awesome. I like looking at the weather and seeing the rotation of the moons around them. Just so much to look at and it's really cool.

I'm liking the game a lot.

Picked this up over the free weekend. The battles are slightly annoying, in that you cannot skip them, while benefiting from the special abilities.
Otherwise, there is plenty of depth in the expansion part, so far. Strategic placement feels a bit limited, with each tile only being connected to 2 to 4 others, but at least your actions actually impact the result of the game, as opposed to say, Civ 5.

It was awesome that I got the Steam popup message about it being a F2P weekend late Sunday afternoon. You know, several hours after it ended. It's not like I logged in and out of Steam multiple times this weekend and got other sale messages.

Bought this a couple weeks ago. Fun, but I'd really like to know 1) how the hell the computer expands so fast, and 2) how the hell scoring works. The wiki site linked to from within the game is near-useless.

This is definitely a difficult game to learn, but alot of fun. I played it to an extreme amount over a short amount of days. Haven't touched it for several weeks.

I do wish you had more control in the "battle phase". A la' Total War or something.

Seems the auto calculate results will results in you getting pwned

I generally use a labor hero ranked up enough to give the +flat amount to production and farming to jump start new worlds.

The learning curve and interface turned me off. I don't have as much time as I used to to figure out games. Definitely looked like Civ in space.
