When I was in the hospital recovering from my surgery, the doctors noticed my oxygen levels dropped below 90% when I was sleeping, so they had me on a CPAP and recommended I do a sleep study after discharge. My primary recommended I get a sleep study done the last couple years when I finally started complaining of my drowsiness at work.

I did one night for the initial sleep study, was diagnosed with sleep apnea, and then did another night to determine the settings needed for the CPAP machine. Well that first night was over $5000, and the second night was a little over $4000. The CPAP was a little over $2000, and my follow up appointments were about another $1000. Insurance is going to cover it 100% since I met my deductibles for the year due to the surgery, but wow I'm glad I waited. I didn't realize it was going to be this freaking expensive.

Are you overweight?

I half jokingly call it a CFAT machine.... as both my overweight brothers have them. I probably had severe sleep fatnea when I grossly overweight.

second question...
has it helped? do you feel better now that you have been using it?
