End of the year raise...

If inflation is 3%, what would you consider to be a decent raise for a pretty good year on the job?

Looks like I will be getting a 5.5% increase in pay this year?that does not seem to shabby considering the state of the general economy.

How did everyone else do?

Our union wants (and will probably get) 9% next year, 8%, then 7% in the following years.

EDIT: Not US however, and our economy is probably running rather harder here in Western Australia right now.

We got 4.5% this (last) year.

A one year membership in the jelly of the month club is nice if they dont kick out the cash to you..its the gift that keeps on giving the whole year.

i'm getting a ham...

well, since another company bought our company earlier this month, we got market adjustment raises. i doubt we'll get anything other than that this year.

I got 4.5% and $650

I'm ok with this for now. I'm looking into something else to do with my life anyways.

My place hooked me up this year. 16% raise and $7500 bonus.

damn! are they hiring? what do you do?

Were a small company that conducts exit interviews for large corporations (I think we have around 20 of the fortune 100's, plus another 80 or so clients scattered about). I am the lead developer there.

I got 1.5% a month ago, that was a "salary adjustment" though. Our actual year-end raises don't come until March.

I got an 8.5% raise and a $3k bonus. Not quite what I was expecting, but respectable. I'm not on Wall Street so I suppose I shouldn't have been expecting a huge bonus.

I'm leaving my job for another so I will be getting a 30% raise.

Yeah, that was me last year. Then i did it again in September for a meger 10% raise. I don't think that i am getting a raise again til probably NEXT September, unless of course i change jobs again. My bonus I think is going to around $1500 or so. I was only billable for four months, so i don't think it will be that great of a bonus. Plus, my contract is not getting renewed, so no contract renewal bonus for me. 🙁

Anyone have any info on actual inflation/cost of living? Ideally per region or state.
By actual I mean including food, gas, general cost of living not normally calculated into the official inflation calculations.
