End of summer movies drought in full swing

top 10 movies this weekend:

1. Once Upon a Time in Mexico
2. Matchstick Men
3. Cabin Fever
4. Dickie Roberts
5. Pirates (10 weeks old!)
6. Freaky Friday
7. Jeepers Creepers 2
8. Seabiscuit (8 weeks old)
9. SWAT (6 weeks old)
10. Open Range.

Besides Pirates and SWAT, none of those movies I would want to see. In fact I saw Matchstick Men and it was entertaining but I'd only give it 2.5/5

and:
Opening This Week
? Anything Else
? Cold Creek Manor
? The Fighting Temptations
? Secondhand Lions
? Underworld

ahhhhh movie deprivation!

i cant believe Pirates might crack $300 million. Disney Exec.'s are prolly snowboarding on piles of cash as we speak. 2 movies + 600 million gross from them combined = 1 DAMN GOOD SUMMER!

This summer was really disappointing... Except for LOTR and Matrix Reloaded I can't think of any good films from this summer...

if you want to count x² as a summer movie, i enjoyed that. i enjoyed quite a few movies this summer actually, but some were let downs. ::cough:: matrix: refunded ::cough::

dirty pretty things, american splendor, magdalene sisters, lost in translation etc. smaller but good films out right now.

if you just follow blockbusters ....😛

and matchstick men was pretty good too.

Like the summer had a single good film at all...

really... i'd like to know just what you bothered to see😛

and since its rather recent, freaky friday was actually good.

Actually lost in translation I want to see but it's not fully released correct? And Dirty Pretty Things, I don't think I would want to see that from reading the preview, maybe a rental.

Too bad LOTR will be over after this year. We need more movies like that every year. Something to look forward to.
