Who was that? What is the significance? Was she one of the scientists (she looked like one of them)? I dont understand what being in insurance has to do with anything

She's going to get the guy. Bruce Willis succeeded in leading them to the real guy.

She went back in time and became an insurance agent. It was her true calling, but there wasn't a lot of work in the future...what with the plague that killed everyone and all.

but how can that be? They never saw it happen....Jose left before the real bad guy was identified...and obviously Willis died so he couldnt report back. Why did a scientest herself go, and not send another "volunteer"?

Is there some type of joke with saying she is in insurance?

Insurance in case something goes wrong... bruce didn't kill the guy. She's going to get him.

I watched the extras for 12 monkeys. This was the intended interpretation - that she was there to get the guy.

makes sense....only thing I dont understand is how the scientists found out whodunnit....but i guess if they have time travel, all it takes is another "volunteer" to be sent back.

Fight Club anyone? I actually couldn't figure out the ending for the longest time either, but I know who the woman was and kinda figured that she was there to stop him in the end, was just never sure.

Brad Pitt was way better in 12 Monkeys than in Fight Club, although I highly enjoyed both movies.

It's Terry Gilliam, the man who brought us Conrad Poohs and his Dancing Teeth. He's not supposed to make sense.

I've read an explanation on the web with a very detailed analysis of time-continiums which suggested the scientists themselves have created the outcome of the plague by sending Bruce Willis and other volunteers back in time. Each jump back in time created another branch of alternate reality because of the volunteers' and scientists' actions.

Hold on, let me dig it up.
The guy who runs the site specializes in creating analysis of time travel in movies that deal with it.

Oh, well then it must be true!

If your specialty is "analyzing time travel in movies" you MIGHT have a few screws loose.

Well, would you like to offer your ingenious theory on the plot of the movie?

True, but that's really not saying much.

I'm pretty sure you're just saying that because you're afraid the internet's gonna steal your masculinity.

As much as I hate to admit it, Brad Pitt has done some damn fine acting.
