I have a Pioneer 8X DVD and I tried both PowerDVD and WinDVD. I wasnt very satisfied with the playback, it wasnt very smooth. Windvd was a little better.

But I found an Encore DXR3 Decoder card I had laying around from my old DVD kit so I plugged that
into the system and installed the win2k driver for it. Now, Im not sure if the winDVD or powerDVD software are utilizing the decoder card. I think they are only software decoders, so my question:

Does anybody know of any DVD software that works with the Encore DXR3 Decoder card?
The software that comes from creative says it doesnt detect my drive, so I guess I need something else.

Thanks!

The Creative software would not work for me in Windows 2000 either, but since the dxr3 and the hollywood are the "same" you can use the hollywood drivers for your dxr3 card.

I am currently using them now and I have no problems, actually I like the hollywood drivers better.
