encoding in FLAC

I want to archive some of my original CD's, and I've decided on FLAC then will encode to MP3's when necessary using DBpowerAmp. What are some different applications to encode in FLAC? THanks

I've ripped about 1,000 CDs using Exact Audio Copy plus FLAC. I prefer EAC since it does a better job of validating it's a good rip than other rippers.

If you already have the music in WAV or another lossless format, DBPowerAmp can do the job. (If you have the files in a lossy format, there is no point in transcoding to FLAC)
