enabling cache on celeron2

my brother said someone is experimenting to enable half of the cache on the celeron2 by connecting some stuff on the chip with a pencil. i think he said that he got the info from [H]ardocp.
do you think they can do it?
BTW, how do you pronounce cache?

Sounds like he's mixing his amd and intel chips. I haven't heard anything about enabling the rest of the celerons cache with a pencil. Over clocker's use a pencil on amd chips to set the frequency higher.
Cache is pronounced cash.

AFAIK there's no such practice as connecting sfuff on the celeron with a pencil. AMD Durons and Thunderbirds have L2 bridges that can be connected(via any conductor) to bypass the multiplier lock, so that overclocking can be done. celerons do not have bridges on the CPU itself, so it doesn't apply.
Cache, as Pederv mentioned, is pronoucned as "cash"...or at least I pronounce it that way.

since the cache is on the core itself, you will have to disrupt/damage the core itself in any attempt to enable the "disabled cache".
