I call it a supa question cause there are lots of variables in this one. I have the following case to work with and setup:
EN-7237 w/ 300W and front fan
Inside the case is a MSI-6321 (694D Pro) w/ Dual FCPGA 866 MHz processors

Now for the supa question:
With the following parts that I will list, what would be the best way to mod the case to get the best air flow, look pleasing to the eye, break the sound barrier, etc. Any and all ideas considered so throw them out kind of like you're brainstorming.

I've got the following extra stuff laying around that can be assimilated:
3x92mm fans
1x80mm fan
electrical tape
14 gauge wire
18" blacklight
DEAD 15" monitor
Old COMPAQ 6GB SCSI Disk Array tower
Old Gateway 2000 computer case with P2 motherboard and some assorted components

I could make a trip to Radio Shack for any small parts but I want to use what I have and not have to purchase anything else as I'm currently a little cash poor :)

Check This Thread Several people have links to pictures of their modded 7237s.

Raptor13 and Sparkle, in particular, have done some pretty cool stuff.

You can also go to Plycon and buy some really cool stuff for your [project like windows and neon lighting.

It all depends on how ambitious you are.

Thanks for the compliment Mwilding!

Feel free to check my site, as he said there have been some awesome mods done to the 7237! I have a gallery of othere peeps stuff, and would like some pix of your when you are done.

-You can easily fit a 92mm in the front if you cut the chasis
-Put one 92 mm in the back
-If this is gonna be Over Clocked, Put one 92mm on the side above the processor. If not, I would stick it in the top.
-Use the 80mm to make a HDD cooler
-the 18" blacklight might be a squeeze, but I like to put mine on the bottom! Make sure you get some neon spiral wrap from caseetc to make the black light hella cool!
-use the tape to hide ugly wires!

Good luck, keep us updated!

Thanks for the compliment, Mwildog. Although, the pictures you've seen isn't half the story.... Since you last saw that case, a flourescent light and plexi-glass window have been added much improving the look of my case. I'll see if I can get some pictures up later.

Next comes scads of blue LEDs! Wooo!

EDIT: The advice Sparkle gave is sound. It seems the man knows what he speaks of!

Stupid question probably but which way do the fans blow? The front is intake and the rear is for exhaust, I know that much. What should the side/top fan be? Intake/Exhaust?

Got a link or instructions how to build a HD cooler out of that 80mm fan?

the side fan would be for intake, and the top would be exhaust(heat rises so suck it out the top) , if the fan on your HSF draws air AWAY from the heatsink ,locate the side(intake) blowhole over your expansion slots, if it blows air TOWARD the heatsink , locate it over the CPU.

Well I went ahead and did a real quick fan mod for my case. I don't know if you could even call it a mod but here's what I've done so far.

Took the 80mm fan that was in the front of the case and moved it to the back (exhaust). Took one 92mm fan and mounted it in the front (intake). I had to rewire the 3-pin connector attached to the front fan because they were not standard and the +/- were on the outsides and not next to each other. Little clipping, stripping wire, electrical tape, and wala! I also took a drill bit and drilled the air intake holes in the front of the case and made them slightly larger.

Only problem now is, am I going to be able to get to sleep tonight or is that 92mm fan (which sounds like a small aircraft ready to take off) going to keep me awake? We'll see :)

BTW, so far it looks like I got a 4C-5C drop in temp after doing this fan swap/mod. How's this compare to other people? Excellent? Good? Fair? Ok???? Let me know I'm interested to see how my 30 minute project compares to other people.
