I like the idea.
But Gravis has had their gamepad pro usb for a long time now.
And it does a great job.

The original Genesis had 3 buttons on the right. Later they added 3 more buttons on the right and the formfactor of the controller was smaller. Of course, the Master System controllers were better than either of the Genesis designs, imho. The buttons were very responsive and had an almost rubbery feel to them, whereas the Genesis controllers were more of a hard plastic design.

True, but it's not the same as using a ACTUAL nes controller.

I remember playing TMNT for so long on the NES that I had the little square engraved in my thumb. It was sore for a while. :embarassed;

not uncommon

I have like 40+ controllers in fact I have about 8 mint controllers AND 3 MINT DOGBONE controllers.

my control pad is worn out on my NES controller. i think i would go with the kit since i do have another good controller
