Emprex LM2202 22" LCD

I took the chance and picked one of these up. I don't really know that much about the Emprex brand, but thought for the price, it was worth trying.

Got it home and hooked it up. It has D-sub and DVI connections and the power invertor is built into the monitor. It does not come with a DVI cable, but I had an extra laying around, so no worries.

No dead pixels. Nice, clear picture. This seems like a pretty good monitor for the $$. Specs are listed below:

· Display Panel: 22" Wide Aspect TFT active matrix panel
· Resolution: WSXGA+(1680x1050) @ 60Hz
· Max. Display color : 16.7M Colors
· Contrast Ratio: 1000:1
· Brightness (Typical): 300 cd/ m2
· Viewing Angle (H/V): 160/160
· Dimensions: 510W x 424H x 202D (mm)

If you get a chance to fire up a game or two, let us know how the action looks. Might stop by on my way home from work and pick one up.

It is a house brand of Fry's, just like Airlink+ for networking. This is like Rosewill being a house brand for Newegg (and associated companies like ABS, Chief Value). Super Talent is a house brand for eWiz/MA Labs.

My aunt has that Emprex 22" monitor and it seemed to work just fine, though she runs it at low resolutions to make everything bigger and easier to read, thus making it IMO look like crap. But, that's no fault of the monitor. 😛

This monitor is awesome. I bought it almost a year ago and it had a $50 rebate and final after rebate was $200.
This is a good deal.
