I'm a recent graduate that JUST landed a job...

As usual, I definately don't have all circumstances posted... IF you have another one that you want me to add to the poll. (no one will follow this) type it in BOLD.

College student. 99% of my time is taken up by RIT, and i work 4-8 hours a week for weed money.

Thank god this is my last "crunch" quarter. 2 more weeks and its smooth sailing until i graduate.

Sophomore in high school, not working right now. Hopefully will get a job this summer + do work experience next year..

Unemployed since October 9th. 🙁

My job field sucks.

What field are you in?

Analytical chemistry. Specifically my forte is gas chromatography/mass spectrometry (GC/MS) analyzing volatile organic compounds (VOC), semivolatile organic compounds (SVOC), and drugs of abuse.

Here is an example of how tight this job market is. In Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW) where I live, which is a rather large metropolitian area, I had a job recruiter offer me a job that would require me to drive an hour each way and paid $10/hour. Unemployment was 'paying' me $10/hour and I didn't have to drive 2+ hours each day.
One of the cities here had a forensic chemistry job opening and as it was explained to me there were twelve experienced chemists applying for one job opening.

I am a 'victim' of too many science people graduating from college willing to work for next to nothing and too few job openings in an already small field.

College, working about 8 hours a week in a lab. It would be pretty much impossible to work full time at my school and still try to maintain a decent GPA.

Knicknut, if you're reading this, do you know anyone that does?
