Empire EArth not running

my EE game wil not run anymore. even when i put in the cd it doesnt start playing it just sits there does anyone know why?

you're going to have to be a bit more specific about the problem... any error messages? if all else fails, you can just copy your saved games to a different directory, uninstall the game, reinstall it, and copy the saved games back. (don't froget your campaign and senarios if you have any custom ones)

there are no error messages it just doesnt load i have the cd also. i have know idea what is wrong, i tryed reinstalling it to

go to "my computer". right click on tour cd-rom select open and copy the file you need to your desktop, or look up root directory file in search or in add remove programs delete it and reinstall.

i did that it opens the thing that says play uninstall ext. but when i click play it just sits ther, and i alredy tryed unistalling it and reinstalling it

are you using the retail version of the disk or a copy? I know when I made a copy of my retail version, then tested the copy it would not load either. When I stuck the retail version in, it came up fine. The only conclusion I could come to was that it had some enhanced security that made it impossible to run from a copy.

ok thanks yea i am runing from a copy but the one i bought was damiged so i had to cpy it from my friend

so there is no way to play it unless i buy it again?
