Edit: Please see my (hopefully) better explanation a couple of posts down

Ok,

I can see others using emoticons in their posts today. That option has suddenly disappeared for me today. (You know, the emoticons ate the bottom of the create post screen etc)

I certainly have'nt turned anything off. Can't find any info on an option to turn on/off.

What gives?

(my browser is IE if that matters)

TIA

Edit: OK, did one you mods move this post here? Seems more like a forum tech issue and I coulda swore I posted it over there.

Sorry, I'm not explaining very well. My bad.

Unless there's been some forum change, I think I've gone crazy.

This is the emoticon thingys I'm talking about:

When creating a new post there were a list emoticons along the bottom: an exclamation point, a question mark, smiley, mad etc.

These would show up next to your thread title, like where we see the "locked" or "sticked" marks/emoticons/whatever.

Also, when creating a response in a thread, they (emoticons, thumbs down, smiley whatever) were along the bottom, and would show up in the upper right hand corner (near the date stamp) of your post in a thread. For example in this thread everybody just has the notepad looking thing next to their date stamp.

Is that explanation clear?

Also, thanks for assisting.

Edit: I've searched and found old threads I intiated, the emoticons next to the thread title no longer show up (I used a question mark on the one checked). It now shows the notepad thingy (or whatever it's proper term is).

Something's changed.

Ah, thanks.

I was starting to think it was just me.

this feature is tied directly to star rating ...

we cannot enable these emoticons without also enabling star ratings ....
