If you have Malware issues and your scans are going slowly, it'll DRASTICALLY speed things up to do all the scans in SAFE Mode. Most Malware is temporarily disabled when your run in Safe Mode.

Check to see if the hard drives and optical drives are using DMA or PIO. If in PIO mode, remove the offending controller and allow to redetect. This can happen after a bad DVD or CD copy.

I always like to find out what's wrong when I can. I also keep in mind that I can repair-install (NOT the first option, but when it asks where to install; new folder or repair old) over the existing windows if I back myself into a corner.

I often use "startup control panel" from http://www.mlin.net/StartupCPL.shtml to temporarily shut down any suspect programs and processes when I'm troubleshooting. I got it from the guide at http://www.theflyingpenguin.com/penguin_blog.shtml#spyware-removal on malware removal ... good site.

Hope this helps.

You said CPU utilisation was at 21%. What process is causing that?

Also, are there any processes in the list that you don't recognise? If so, try googling them.

I already posted my processes to this forum thats specialized for that kinda stuff, a spyware forum. You give them the processes and they tell you whether its spyware or a virus or anything. No suspicious processes running.

No suspicious process detected, you mean. Try the 3-step routine I mentioned above: 1) rootkit check, 2) McAfee all-out scanner in Safe Mode W/ Command Prompt, 3) Kaspersky maxed-out scan in Safe Mode.
