Embedding Google maps

The embedding I use which I got from the rancid bacon site mentioned in a previous thread no longer works as of this afternoon. Neither does the rancid bacon demos, for example:

http://stuff.rancidbacon.com/google-maps-embed-how-to/demo1.html

Any particular reason? When is Google going to release the official API for it?

And before anyone cries wrong forum, I posted in Software. It's just that nobody responds.

Hmm, the Rancid Bacon demo works now, but mine still does not.

Craigslist housing uses a different method of data reporting than the RB one. I'm wondering if they changed the version number on RB?

Well it looks like there was a code change in the javascript from:

myMap.asyncLoadVPageFromURL("http://stuff.rancidbacon.com/gmaps-standalone/demo1.xml");

to:

var dt = _DocumentTransport.create();
dt.continueWith("demo1.xml",function (responseText) {myMap.loadVPageStr(responseText);})

I will make the changes now to see if it works.

Fixed it, changed that line in the javascript and made some changes to my XML file.
