Is there a way to stop people from leaving the picture(s) in a quoted post, like I just did?

I just hate it when people do that.......

Perhaps needlessly quoting long images will be the new ban to replace nested quote bans. :twisted:

Also, what's the word on potentially NSFW images? Are you supposed to post it as a link and put the NSFW disclaimer, or just post it using the img tag w/NSFW disclaimer and assume anybody who's worried about inline images at work has it set in their control to display as a link?

The first thing I did upon reactivating my account is turn off inline images. I'll just take a link, thanks.

I like them. A well timed pic enhances the thread 225%, studies have shown. Who can argue with that?

Embedded pics can replace comments.
If embedded pics are turned off, you do not get the comment.
Before, when embedded pics were not allowed, rarely was a link provided as a comment.

Also, when your link source is removed, you get a blank or Red X post.

I appreciated a text only forum and it was one of the things that made Anandtech unique.

Now it is just another junky looking forum with good members.
The good members may be leaving because of reasons such as this.
