How can I make sure I receive a email on my iPhone but also on my desktop computer in Thunderbird ?

I basically want to make sure 2 copies of my email happen of the same message. I like keeping emails on my computer as well.

Should I even setup email on iPhone if I want this ?

I check 3 email accnts on my phone and comp

emails go to both regardless of which checks first

use IMAP should work fine
