email with pop?

i was wondering what are some good email services out there that offer pop access.

i was looking at yahoo for its $20 or whatever a month, but don't like the way it attaches some advertizing signature at the bottom of each email through pop access.

any alternatives? same price range? or less?

seriously.

i pay like 7 a month +10 a year for my entire site. that's a hell of a lot more than just an email name @yahoo.
