What are the odds the judge would send the mail to a few trusted friends and one would leak it? Under 5%? That would mean there are 20 or more doing it not getting caught...

What are the odds that Craig posts everything he thinks of? Under 5%? That would mean that we don't even know 95% of what Craig thinks about.

D:

Honestly, I'm not sure if this was a gigantic brain fart or if the judge was wanting to get caught. Even then, this can't be common for judges to be emailing jokes back and forth on their official email account. I have to believe that some have figured out how to to that using personal email. :hmm:

Is this where we're supposed to pretend that people who enjoy offensive racist jokes are just plain folks?

edit: if you think that "joke" was so funny, I guess we know what group you fall into.

You're just completely going to ignore the misogynistic elements of this joke? Do you find it unimportant? Do you find women unimportant? It's an insult for a black man to have sex with a woman who'd have sex with a dog for all she knew, but it isn't an insult to say a woman could get so messed up at a party she couldn't even tell the difference between a dog and a man?

What I got out of that email is that his mom had sex with a dog at a party. I didn't find the joke racist at all. I think you'd have to have some reading comprehension problems to find racism there.

Yeah, that's basically what I get. Insulting his mother.

Otherwise, it's a crappy tasteless joke I didn't think funny in the least.

That is the most bizarre use of the word 'touching' I have ever seen.
This times a million. That was the only thing that really caught me about the e-mail. "Wait, he thinks that joke was 'touching'? Did he forward the wrong thing?" Regardless of anyone's feelings about the joke, I don't know if you could find a single person on Earth who would claim that joke was "touching" to them. "Awww... his mom is a slut. That's so precious!" What the hell?

You don't see that a comparison is made between having sex with a black man and having sex with an animal?

Contra to those who play "the race card," there are certain people who just never see racism anywhere. At all.

Those seeking racism always seem to find it. Those finding racism always seem to define it.

What about the statement that women may be having sex with animals? We can just trample over a woman like that and call them a dogfucker? Why are we stopping at just the black reference and letting the insult to women slip by unnoticed?

I guarantee if this was a joke about a man potentially having sex with an animal we'd all be singing a very different song.

The insult to his mother has not gone "unnoticed." Rather, it was undisputed. I wasn't arguing the point because everyone agrees that the joke insulted his mother. The disagreement is over whether the joke is racist.

I think both aspects of the joke are offensive, but I've always been a pretty good multitasker.

It seems racist and the judge admitted that it is racist. He's obviously not assimilated into mainstream American society.

Oh, he's assimilated into mainstream American society just fine. Most Americans are racist...white, black, brown, or yellow, most are racist.
