k.. here's my story... 2+ years ago my computer crashed w/ outlook and i had to flormat and lost all my emails. Since then i've left the emails on the server (using imap to read them) which means now 3500 emails in my inbox...

my question is...
does anyone know of a good email archiving program so I can save and then get rid of all the email over, say, 6 months old. I know I can use outlook, but I hate outlook (I use opera)..

Does anyone know of anything else I can use? I just want 'em all saved to a single file or folder so i can burn them to CD and save them.

If it's really an IMAP server you can create other folders on the server and organize that mail a bit.

If you really want to export them somewhere I can't imagine Opera not having an export option (if it has a mail client, I've never used Opera). Since I run my own mail server my mail backups are made straight from my IMAP folders in the filesystem.
