Does anyone have any suggestions for an email application - given all the typical concerns (virus, spam control, et. al.)

Thank you.

The Mozilla email client is nice also ... haven't actually tried thunderbird, but it's probably similar.

I agree. That's what we use at work. It was pretty easy to migrate from NS mail to Mozilla mail, too. It's nice being able to use the same mail client on 3 different platforms, too. x86/Windows, x86/Linux, PA-RISC/HP-UX. It really makes supporting the mail system easy.

I use Eudora Pro in "sponsored" mode (little ad in the corner of the program). Works fine, and you can tell it to use its own dumbed-down and safe engine for displaying a preview window instead of using a browser (cause of half the Outlook hacks). Norton AV (at least 2002-on) knows how to scan its incoming mail.
