I just tried to change my email address in my profile and it said that it was banned. I just created this email account today and can't figure out why it would be banned. Is it because it is a Hotmail account?
 
Yes, several free email domains have been banned. This is to combat 'troll members' who sign up numerous accounts and behave like prime Aholes on the forums. Hope this clears things up for you. 🙂
 
Ok there is one of these every week. Wally not being negative its a honest ?, but it seems we need a FAQ thread bumped in here once in awhile
 
If the email is banned, then they had a problem with someone using it, and no cooperation from the ISP is tracking down the person. You can search the archives for aol and probably find the main thread explaining it.
 
WHy is netzero not banned? They free! You can sign up with as many names as you want! I think after i certain time on the forums you sohuyld be able to switch to any email addie, cuz i use netzero cuz i dont got my own isp email addie, so therefore i cant sitch to hotmail and i never check my netzero mail
