I assume the CPU is Socket 478? And by memory card, you mean RAM module? So that is probably toast as well.

Your options for Socket 478 are extremely limited. You're getting new mobo and RAM, might as well go the last yard and buy a new CPU as well. DDR2 is way cheap right now compared to DDR, that will help offset some of the CPU cost. Since these 845GV boards did not have an AGP slot, there is no AGP card to worry about keeping. Was there a PCI graphics card or using the onboard Intel graphics? I just rebuilt an eMachines T2862 that shipped with Celeron D, 845GV board, and PCI graphics card.

Hey! That reminds me, I have this board. Its the same Intel D845GVSR "Seabreeze" motherboard. Actually, I have two of them, 100% working. Wanna buy one? Both were replaced because the owners wanted to upgrade, not due to any problem. I'll even throw-in the 1GB PC2700 RAM that was used with the old motherboard.

If you want to go the upgrade route, the eMachines T-Series towers will accept standard Micro ATX motherboards and ATX power supplies. Even the front panel card reader and audio cables will plug straight into any standard Micro ATX board that follows the Intel connector pin-out (not all of them do).

Its a bit tight in there to use the Micro ATX boards with four memory slots. I prefer using Micro ATX boards that have just two memory slots because they are typically about 1/2 inch shorter from front to back, but the 'full' Micro ATX boards will fit also.

Here is a photo of the eMachines I'm finishing up right now (don't mind the cable management, its not done yet): T2862 reborn

This one got the works; new MB, CPU, RAM, HDD, DVD, GPU, and PSU. The only thing left over is the case fan, card reader, front audio ports, and dial-up modem.
