i fried (i must have touched something inside the puter when it was on) a dimm socket on my emachine 500a motherboard it is a Napoli-2 Micro ATX (STX V1.2 form factor)slot connector. it has 2 dimm sockets that hold 128mb memory max. in each socket. can i put one 256 mb mem. in the one dimm socket that still works? i learned a good lesson about keeping my hands out of things with my computer is on.
i hope someone can help.

I don't know if it work or not but from what i read and here it want....but tell me are them pcs fast, ok, haha never been on one i here their
ok pcs.

You can try a 256mb dimm... try looking at www.crucial.com and their memory selector.

Good luck and yes ALWAYS unplug or switch off your powersupply (small button on the back) when upgrading a component... sheesh its not like you have a hot swappable server 😀

they are pretty basic and good enough for me. power supply is not big enough and when you make a mistake like me you cannot replace the dimm sockets. for a basic machine that is cheap emachine is a good buy.

thanks for the info i will check out the site also.
as for the turning off thing. sometimes we just do those very dumb things and i did it. LOL
