I just think that people need to recognize sources of excellent music.

Michael Jackson and Elton John are just two of many artists that changed music as a whole - we need to recognize that, despite their strange (or freakishly weird in MJ's case) lifestyles.

Elton John's songwriting and piano skills are insane.

Some gay group was bashing him for performing with Eminem (I don't particularly LIKE Eminem, but I think some of his songs are good).

What the heck? He doesn't have to represent you becuase he's gay. Elton recognized talent when he saw it, and Eminem wanted to show that he's not really a "gay-basher" as people labeled him.
