Elsa Gladiac Driver Problem Win98

OK I installed the card & everything was running smoothly .

But wanted to update the drivers to the latest so I went to Elsas site & proceeded to download the up to date drivers .

Went from 4.12.01.0200

Updated 4.12.01.0756 (March of this year)

Everything updated fine but the sys tray icon for Elsa is gone , none of the tools are visible nor work & in the Start Menu in "ElsaWare" I click on WinmanSuite & it says : NO ELSA DISPLAY DRIVER or ELSA GRAPHICS BOARD FOUND. PROGRAM WILL TERMINATE.

I know it upgraded because I went into Device Manager & clicked on Display Adapters , Veiw Driver Details & was updated to the newer driver but now none of the Elsa Tools work .

Help ................

Those drivers are the Nvidia reference drivers not the Elsa drivers. They usually put up both on there site.If you want the latest Elsa drivers with the tools get 4.12.01.0206-0150.

So can anyone tell me the steps to take to update to the newer drivers "DET3" & KEEP the Elsa SYStray icon & all the tools ?

I'm still running the Original 4.12.01.0200-0020 drivers !

I know one of the steps is to completely remove all old drivers but don't know exactly how that's done .

I liked the Elsa tools too but couldn't find a way to integrate them with the Det drivers, however when i was running Win98 I ran the original Elsa drivers as they gave me the best performance and stability over any other drivers.
To change to the Dets go to device manager and switch to standard vga adapter then go to add/remove programs and uninstall the Elsa drivers and tools, then install the Dets.

Udgraded to the 4.12.01.0206-0150 & everything works & is fine .

Thanks rushr

I suppose these will have to do untill they update with newer drivers that include the tools 😉

How do my current drivers compare to that of the "newer" ones ?
Will I see that much of a difference ?
