Elliptic Curve Cryptography............

Does anyone know where I can find the mathmatical algorithm to generate public/private keys using ECC? I have already written an RSA client in C++ and Java. I just want to screw around with a different algorithm. I am currently reading Applied Cryptography by Bruce Schneier but I can't find any links that actually flat out discuss the algorithm for ECC.

I have been to www.counterpane.com which he has good info about cryptography but I just want to see some algorithms or source code.

BTW, part of the practical implementation is patented AFAIK - this could explain the lack of algorithms. If you're doing this for your own learning experience you won't have a problem but if not, a company by the name of Certicom might issue you a nice C&D letter or request for compensation.

That probably explains it. I had noticed Certicom seemed to be a big player when it came to ECC. Yes I just want to do this for my own personal enjoyment I get bored at work so I read books and write programs.
