Better to teach a man how to fish as they say. Use thrudd's trading tool in conjunction of your star map to find good trading lanes. Beware of old data because now that the supply is dynamic, a couple type-9s or tradacondas can easily dry up a lane in less than a day. That said, decent routes (2200+ cr per ton with single jump and >500Ls supercruise from the main star) are still common so you can always hop away where the grass is greener and make some money with some discovery data on the way.
Your best bet for looking is to outfit your cargo ship with as much jump range as possible even if it means sacrificing a tad bit of optimal cargo space. It means that you will be finding routes that most traders won't ever see because they max out their cargo space and compete in the same single jump range as one another while you get to see all the ones that they miss by a little bit of jump range if that makes sense. Also, sometimes a second jump is totally worth it if the margins are much better because it literally takes 15 seconds to jump in, cooldwon and realign then jump again.
The Asp is a terrific ship with mind-blowingly good jump range. The only minus is that you'll want to have a healthy pool of money before investing into one. I've maxed out an explorer Asp and the grand total came up around 50millions. Don't fly a ship you can't afford to replace a few times over.
