good lord john! i wish i had the power to need 0 guage wiring ^_^. maan. i got a ghetto system. but i kno enough not to say that "bose is the best" cause if you talk to real audio people, this is the common misconception of the newbie/unknowing in the area. in all seriousness, yes its much better than most stock, but erm... compared to REAL audio fanatic's gear, its nothing. the sound out of bose speakers are notorious for being colored. i'd take my polk db separates connected to my mtx 5400x connected to my kenwood excelon 911 over any bose system. yes my system costs more than 1000 bux, but i have that much more sq. not to mention i have dynamat in my doors, trunk and firewall, and since i drive a hatchback, i have unhindered bass produced by my mtx thunder 8000 10".

if you start doing some research on audio components, you'll learn that bose is really really over rated, so they make a nice sounding clock radio! that doesn't make them THE ish, just THE ish of the clock radio department ^_^.

Wow Kumanchu,

Are you saying that the Bose Wave radio has an alarm clock built in? :D If so, that's wonderful, because I seriously need a good loud clock radio.

If you're leasing a car, or if you just don't wan ta worry that yor ish ill B jackt you'd want the best stock stereo possible, in which case Bose is not bad. . . Lately. OTOH, the Bose speakers in my 92 Maxima have no subs and no tweeters, and sound like ish, and the Nakamichi systems that Lexus uses smash Bose's into the pavement.

I have some JBL GTOs (not sure how old) that sound better than any stock speakers I've ever heard, unfortunately, they don't fit in any car I own right now.
